The Lorcana Cards Rarity Symbols
To learn how to tell rarity of Lorcana cards, you must figure out what each symbol stands for.
Every Lorcana card from Common to Enchanted has a rarity symbol in the bottom center, directly under the text box. Each symbol has its own shape and color, making it easy to separate rare Lorcana cards from common ones.
The symbols look like:
- Common: Gray Circle
- Uncommon: White Book
- Rare: Bronze Triangle
- Super Rare: Silver Diamond
- Legendary: Golden Star
- Enchanted: Rainbow Hexagon
- Promo Cards: A golden arrow

Common
We know it’s exciting to dream of rare Lorcana cards, but don’t count out the Common ones! Many of these cards form the foundation of your deck.
Lorcana characters aren’t separated by rarity, either. You can find iconic Disney characters like Stitch - Alien Dancer, Moana - Undeterred Voyager, and Daisy Duck - Spotless Food Fighter.
Every booster pack has 6 Common cards, giving you plenty of chances to pull your favorite characters.
Uncommon
Uncommon cards show up at half the rate of Common cards, with 3 in every booster pack.
These cards are equally valuable to the foundation of your deck. There are plenty of exciting Song cards from Disney movies, like Mulan’s Reflection, Tangled’s I’ve Got a Dream, and Clarabelle’s Has Set My Heaaaaaaart.
Rare
Rare Disney Lorcana cards are where things hit a new level. You’re guaranteed at least two Rare or better cards in each booster pack.
The rare category has tons of classic characters, including Lucky - The 15th Puppy, Iago - Loud-Mouth, Huey - Savvy Nephew, and Olaf - Happy Passenger.
Super Rare
Super Rare cards are a must-have for serious collectors. The artwork on these cards is fantastic, and there are plenty of infamous villains to choose from.
Some of our favorite (or should we say, least favorite!) villain cards in this tier include Lady Tremaine - Imperious Queen, Yzma - Scary Beyond All Reason, Scroop - Odious Mutineer, and Maleficent - Formidable Queen.
Super Rare cards usually appear in 1 of every 4 packs you pull.
Legendary
Lorcana’s Legendary cards boast a golden star symbol, and for good reason. These cards are extraordinarily powerful in any deck.
This rarity features timeless characters visualized in exciting new ways. Donald Duck - Not Again!, Perdita - Devoted Mother, Belle - Hidden Archer, and Genie - Main Attraction, are a few of our favorites.
Legendary cards show up at a rate of 1 in every 6 packs or so.
Enchanted
Enchanted cards are the rarest cards you’ll find inside booster boxes and packs. They feature holographic versions of existing cards, showcasing characters with unique art!
You may only find one of these in a booster box, so be sure to cherish them when you do!
Some of our favorites include Mickey Mouse - Wayward Sorcerer, Minnie Mouse - Musketeer Champion, Piglet - Sturdy Swordsman, and Jasmine - Desert Warrior.
Where Do Promo Cards Fit Into the Disney Lorcana Cards Rarity Rankings?
Promo cards exist outside the standard rarity scale for Lorcana. These cards are released through giveaways, as prizes for winning tournaments, or during set releases.
These cards are almost always alternative versions of existing cards. They’re a great collector’s item, but if you’re focused on deckbuilding, you can stick to the other 6 rarities and still build a fantastic deck!
Does Lorcana Cards Rarity Affect Gameplay at All?
Should you stack your deck full of Enchanted cards?
Only if you want to!
Lorcana card rarity doesn’t affect gameplay–at least not directly.
Common and Uncommon cards are excellent foundational cards. The best Lorcana starter decks include them to give you a clear-cut strategy to follow.
You could easily still win games with a deck full of Common, Uncommon, and Rare cards, especially with experience.
But higher rarity cards have extra abilities that let you pull off fantastic combos. For example, Stitch - Rock Star, a Super Rare, lets you draw extra cards each time you play a new character. This speeds up the time it takes you to hit your game-winning combos.
Similarly, Mickey Mouse - Trumpeter lets you play any card for just two ink. This means you could play a powerful 8-cost card like Gantu - Galactic Federation Caption on turn 5 before your opponent can deal with him!
But in either of these examples, you still need a solid cast of low-cost, low-rarity characters to make their mechanics work.
The key to building a balanced deck is figuring out the ideal ratio of combo cards compared to reliable Commons to execute your strategy.
Ultimately, any strategy can work. If you want to build a deck exclusively centered around Disney dogs like Pluto - Determined Defender and Pongo - Ol’ Rascal, you can, even though they are Rare and Uncommon cards.
How Often Will You Find Rare Lorcana Cards in Your Pulls?
Every Lorcana Booster pack contains 12 cards. Generally, the pull rates break down like this:
- 6 Common Cards
- 3 Uncommon Cards
- 2 Rare, Super Rare, or Legendary Cards
- 1 Foil OR Enchanted version (can be any of the previous 5 rarities)
For the latter 3 rarities, expect 1 or 2 Rare cards every pack, a Super Rare every 4 packs, and a Legendary every 6 packs.
Enchanted cards don’t have official odds published, but the community estimates that they appear once in every case or around one in every 96 booster packs.
While those odds make it challenging to come by, there are other ways to get your hands on extremely rare cards. We recommend finding a reliable card retailer that trades singles, as this can save you from opening several packs for the exact card you want.
