How to Pack & Ship Pokémon Cards (Quickest Guide)
Whether you are selling cards on Ebay, Facebook, TCG Player, Troll & Toad or just trading in online groups, you may feel a slight discomfort with packing and shipping your cards through the mail. Thankfully, we've put together a super simple guide that will get your cards securely packed and on their way to their new destination.
How to Ship Pokémon Cards easily - Step by step guide with images
1. Insert your Card in a Sleeve
For this you can use Penny sleeves or card sleeves that are found inside Elite Trainer Boxes - Dragonshield work as well
2. Insert sleeved card in a Toploader (Hard Sleeve)
Using a toploader adds protection and helps the card stay secure in a rigid sleeve
3. Cover Toploader opening with Painter's tape
This is to prevent the card from sliding out during transit, use painter's tape as it doesn't leave any residue - avoid other types of tape
4. Find 2 pieces of cardboard the size of the Toploader
You can easily cut this from a box of cereal, crackers or anything else - use a toploader to measure the size
5. Insert card in between the cardboard pieces - like a sandwich
This method provides additional support to the sleeved card, making it hard to bend in transit or at the delivery stage (when inserted into the mail slot)
6. Use tape to secure the cardboard together
For this you can use any type of tape, although we still recommend painter's tape as it is easier to remove when the package is received
7. Choose how you are sending the cards
You can place your secured cards into a Plain White Envelope (PWE), a Bubble Mailer or a box (if shipping other items at the same time). Generally speaking, the bubble mailer is the best option if you are just sending the cards as it provides additional security.
Conclusion
And that's it, you're a professional! Hopefully now you will feel comfortable sending your cards wherever they may need to go, and you will be sure to make your buyer's day when they see how well their cards were packaged and shipped!
